\nAFFIRM supports Information Technology educational opportunities by conducting seminars and related educational sessions where AFFIRM handles the entire event, by sponsoring seminars as part of larger events where AFFIRM coordinates the seminar content, and by promoting worthy events in the Information Technology field being conducted by others.\nNetworking<\/strong>
\nAFFIRM provides networking opportunities to its members by providing one of the largest virtual forums of IT professionals serving the Federal community.\nInteraction with Policymakers<\/strong>
\nAFFIRM offers its members the opportunity to influence the development of IRM and IT policy in the Federal arena by providing a venue for members to interact with key policy development organizations as individuals, and not as members of their respective employing organizations.\n

AFFIRM’s Programs<\/h2>\nSPEAKER SERIES PROGRAMS
\n<\/strong>AFFIRM hosts a monthly Speaker Series that brings together a panel of government experts to discuss cutting-edge issues in the Federal IT community, and government-wide policies, programs, and technology initiatives that impact effective government performances. Proceeds from these events support AFFIRM’s scholarships and grants.\n
\nAFTER HOURS
\n<\/strong>AFFIRM hosts After Hours events with a collaborative panel of government and industry experts to discuss topics affecting the Federal IT community. Proceeds from these events support AFFIRM’s scholarships and grants. These in-person events take place in a more casual setting where government and industry attendees can network and make new connections.\n
\nAFFIRM Swing for STEM<\/b>
\nThe AFFIRM Annual Swing for STEM Golf Tournament is a premier charitable event that brings together government contracting professionals, industry leaders, and community supporters for a day of competitive golf with a meaningful mission. This tournament raises critical funds to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education initiatives, providing scholarships, resources, and opportunities for underrepresented students pursuing careers in technology and innovation fields. Beyond the fairways and greens, the event fosters valuable networking among GovCon executives while making a tangible impact on the next generation of STEM talent. \nFEDERAL IT CAREER WORKSHOP and JOB SHADOW DAY <\/strong>
\nAFFIRM’s annual Federal IT Career Workshop and Job Shadow Day event introduces STEM students to careers and opportunities in Federal information technology. Students hear from IT executives across the Federal government and from past attendees, gain exposure to employment opportunities within the Federal workforce, get tips from those who make hiring decisions, learn what the future holds for Federal IT professionals, and have an opportunity to shadow a Federal IT executive for a day. This is a unique opportunity for students to network with Federal employees and become better prepared for the professional workforce.\n
\nSCHOLARSHIP & GRANTS FUNDRAISING<\/strong>
\nAFFIRM organizes fundraising events to support our scholarship and grants program, which focuses on the education of future IT leaders.
