Florida criminal defense attorney, Jenna Finkelstein, has over sixty (60) criminal jury trials to her credit. Her experience defending individuals charged with crimes in the state of Florida ranges from domestic battery to DUI Manslaughter, Drug Trafficking, First Degree Murder and all crimes in between.
Jenna earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She received her B.A. in Criminology, with a minor in Psychology. Jenna was a member of the Criminology and Law Honor Society at the University of Florida.
Jenna received her Juris Doctorate from Stetson University College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. She earned a certificate for Concentration in Advocacy. While at Stetson, Jenna held the title of Deputy Chief Ambassador and participated in many on and off campus events. Jenna also served as the Vice President for the Florida Association of Women Lawyers at Stetson (FAWLS) and was a member of the Student Bar Association where she served as Co-Chair for the Event Planning Committee.
Jenna completed an internship at the Public Defender’s Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit, where she then began her professional career. She worked as an Assistant Public Defender for seven (7) years. Jenna handled hundreds of misdemeanor cases, many of which were DUI charges. She was quickly promoted to represent clients charged with felonies ranging from theft and driving related offenses, to high profile cases including DUI with serious bodily injury and DUI manslaughter, as well as capital sexual battery and first degree murder. Jenna has aggressively defended clients in over 60 jury trials and negotiated thousands of favorable dispositions in her career thus far. She has experience handling complex criminal cases such as sexual battery, lewd and lascivious battery/molestation, armed bank robbery, and drug trafficking. Jenna’s experience has given her invaluable insight into the workings of the State Attorney’s Office as well as many police agencies and other state departments.
